Parent Involvement

Six pillars of partnership between home and school.

The administration and teaching staff at SVHS solicits support from our parents and community. Using the six pillars of parent involvement, as outlined by Dr. Epstein and the National PTA, we attempt to maximize communication and collaboration to benefit our students.

Your right to know

In accordance with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), SVHS supports the right of all parents to know and view teacher qualifications and have access to their child’s assessment data. Parents are invited to contact Dr. Kincaid or Ms. Coleman with inquiries regarding these items.

Our annual Title 1 meeting was held on August 6th at our Meet the Teacher event.

Parents, guardians, and stakeholders are encouraged to attend annual meetings, give feedback regarding the school parent compact, and help develop Cognia and School-wide plans. The school is committed to providing resources and training to build parent and community networks.
