Sun Valley began a successful vocational education program this year that we will continue to build in the near future.

We currently offer the following vocational programs:

Nursing Assistant:
Prepare students to sit for the AZBN exam
3 blocks; Prerequisites: Anatomy & Physiology A & B, Intro to Health-care Careers

Child Development Associate:
Certificate of Completion from SVHS
Can apply for the nationally recognized Child Development Associate credential after completing 480 hours in childcare
Red Cross CPR & First Aid Certificate
2 blocks + the opportunity to complete an internship

A+ Certification:
Prepared to take the globally recognized Comp TIA A+ Essentials and Comp TIA A+ Practical Applications Exam
2 blocks; Pre-requisites: Comp1, Comp 2

Criminal Justice Certificate
Internal certification of completion in criminal justice studies from SVHS
Courses: Criminal Justice 1 and II

Help Desk Technician
Internal certification of completion in Help Desk Tech from SVHS
Helps prepare students to become a Tier 1 computer help desk technician

Pharmacy Assistant
Internal certification of completion as a pharmacy assistant from SVHS
Externaly prepares students to take the Pharmacy Technician Board Certification\

Home Depot Internship
Partnership with Home Depot in which students learn the following skills:
Woodworking
Masonry
Painting
Electric
Plumbing
