AIMS Writing and Reading will be administered on campus on Tuesday, February 23 and Wednesday, February 24.

School will not be in session on either Monday, January 18 or Monday, February 18 for Dr. Martin Luther King's and President's Days.

Block 3 began on Tuesday, January 5th. Students still wishing to enroll may do so anytime. Front office hours are from 7:30am to 7:30pm.

Block 2 concluded on Thursday, December 18th. Report cards were mailed home the following week.

Sun Valley's 13th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner was on Wednesday, November 25th during 3rd and 5th hours. All classes enjoyed a catered Thanksgiving dinner with the trimmings.

SMART Boards arrived at SVHS on Friday, November 20th. These eight amazing teaching tools will visually enhance instruction in all math and science rooms . . . as well as two English classrooms. Teacher training for the new technology occurredFriday, December 11th.

On Thursday, November 19th, 20 new inductees were welcomed into the Sun Valley Chapter of National Honor Society. New members are: Raychesha Adams, Claudia Castro, Adam Christofferson, Giselle Cuellar, Zach Ferguson, Lurinda Fernandez, Shaun Gibbons, Asbeire Gonzalez, Sayra Granillo, Mark Hernandez, Irwin Islas, Reneka Lockett, Citlali Mimila, Allan Ramirez, Lizeth Torres, Jonathon Trejo, Anabel Vazquez, Cinthia Velasquez, and Thai Warin.

Parents, teachers, and administrators participated in the fall Title I meeting during the November 5th Open House. Participants played an active role in evaluating the school's progress and planning for short and long-term improvements.
