Counseling
Sun Valley High School students can take advantage of on-campus counseling services:
- Substance abuse
- Anger management
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Family issues
- Self-esteem problems
Every effort is made to protect student confidentiality and privacy. Counseling records are not part of the student's school records. Counseling sessions are not discussed with school teachers or staff except as required by law.
Students may request to see the counselor, or be referred by parents, a teacher or school staff. Any person wanting to refer a student to counseling can talk to Roxanne Brooks, receptionist; Ms. Britton, assistant school leader; or Ms. Sinkovic, special education director.
